Prof. Prakash Padakannaya

Prof. Padakannaya has works as course leader for M.phil. in Learning Disability in University of Mysore for several years. Currently he is working at Ashoka University, Delhi. Prakash Padakannaya was trained in psycholinguistics and cognition during his PhD at Utkal University, India, and the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit, London, United Kingdom. His PhD focusing on Reading Development in Oriya was the first study that showed that phonemic awareness is not so crucial for learning to read Indian alpha-syllabary.He has a number of research publications on reading difficulties in his credit.

U. N. Dash

Prof U.N. Dash is a former Professor of Psychology at the Centre of Advanced Study in Psychology, Utkal University and University of Delhi, India. He has been a Killam Scholar and a Visiting Professor in Canada. He taught and guided research at the Masters and Ph. D level at Utkal University and University of Delhi for 36 years until he retired in 2009. He published extensively in national and international journals in the areas of Psychological Measurement, Cognitive Psychology and Information Processing in young children and has authored eight books. He currently teaches courses on Research Methodology and Statistics at various institutes and conducts positive attitude building sessions as per requirement and is associated with government and some non-government organizations in furthering initiatives to promote quality education in elementary and secondary education sectors.
